Across the Pasture

In Across the Pasture, a rustic fence draws the eye toward rolling fields, brilliant blue water, and a sky filled with layers of windswept clouds. A few woolly sheep dot the landscape—quite appropriately brought to life in fiber—giving the scene that quiet, pastoral charm that makes you want to climb over the fence and wander a little farther.

Rather than creating one large landscape, I took a unique approach with this collection, making four separate fiber paintings that join visually when displayed side by side to create a panoramic scene. Across the Pasture occupies its own little corner of that world while continuing the landscape into the pieces beside it.
