Garden Tangle

In Garden Tangle, curling locks, slender tendrils, and richly colored fibers intertwine like flowers and vines growing freely through a summer garden. Deep greens and earthy browns create a natural foundation, while plum, lavender, orange, gold, and vivid purple emerge in lively clusters throughout the composition.
Needle-felted directly onto linen, the work allows glimpses of the woven surface to remain visible, adding another layer of texture and contrast to the fiber. Unlike many of EmBee’s recent pieces, Garden Tangle is surrounded by a generous white mat before being finished in a lightly textured white frame. The clean, airy presentation gives the intricate fiber work room to breathe while drawing attention to its abundant color, movement, and organic detail.
