Golden Blues

There is something wonderfully unruly about Golden Blues—as though the fibers simply decided to grow wherever they pleased. Created directly on linen as the canvas, the natural weave becomes part of the artwork, peeking through curls and wisps of sheep and alpaca fiber in watery blues, mossy greens, golden ochres, and soft turquoise.

Some strands twist upward like wildflowers, others curl in on themselves, and a few seem perfectly content to wander off in their own direction. It might be a garden, an underwater meadow, or simply a place that exists somewhere in between imagination and memory.
