No Restraint
No Restraint began with linen, a pile of colorful fiber, and apparently no one around to say, “Maybe that’s enough.” Needle felted directly onto the linen, flowers, curls, vines, and wonderfully unruly bits of fiber just kept showing up—golden yellow here, a big dusty-rose bloom there, then turquoise, plum, lavender, chartreuse, and deep blue because, well… why not? Some of the fibers became flowers, some became stems, and a few seem to have simply wandered in and made themselves at home. The weathered wood frame does its best to contain the whole thing, but only just. No Restraint is pure EmBee: colorful, dimensional, slightly mischievous, and proof that sometimes the best gardens—and the best art—happen when nobody tells them to behave.
