Homeward

EmBee collectible, Homeward offers a rare glimpse into the earliest days of EmBee’s fiber-art journey. Created in 2020, this one-of-a-kind piece combines fiber work and acrylic painting in a way that makes it especially distinctive among her early creations.
The overall artwork measures 8" x 8", with a central 6" x 3" fiber-art landscape surrounded and extended with acrylic paint. Sheep graze beneath a glowing golden sky, framed by fields, wildflowers, distant hills, and the rich texture of layered fiber. The painted portions blend into and around the fiber work, creating a seamless little pastoral scene with wonderful depth and character.
There is an almost storybook quality to Homeward—warm, intimate, and full of the quiet rural imagery that would continue to influence EmBee’s work in the years ahead.
