Still Standing

My Still Standing fiber painting was inspired by the many old barns scattered throughout Connecticut’s Farmington River Valley. First settled in 1645, the Valley is rich with history, and it is remarkable how many of these beautiful structures still remain. This fiber painting is a tribute to their quiet strength, character, and enduring presence in the landscape.
