Weathered Prayer

Weathered Prayer transforms dyed sheep fiber into the luminous presence of a stained-glass lancet window. Measuring 22" across by 55" tall, the piece begins with a wet-felted backing, then builds into a richly layered fiber painting through meticulous needle felting. Swirls of blue, turquoise, green, rust, and violet move behind the antique iron grate, creating the feeling of light passing through weathered glass. Mounted in an antique lancet window with a rusting patina, the work carries both history and reverence—like a quiet prayer preserved in color, fiber, wood, and time.
